As Australia’s national law school, ANU Law educates tomorrow’s lawyers, leaders and policy makers. Underpinned by our deep-seated and long-held focus on law reform and social justice, we encourage our students to question how and why law does and doesn’t work, and consider their part in reform. From the very beginning, inclusiveness has been a central value of the law school. Financial or social barriers or cultural nuances should not limit students with the academic potential and commitment to learning that a quality legal education at ANU demands.

Freilich Indigenous Law Scholarship
The Freilich Indigenous Law Scholarship was established to assist students in the Indigenous Community who want to attend University to obtain a degree in Law to further their career aspirations. The Freilich Indigenous Law Scholarship supports Indigenous students who want to study law at ANU by providing financial support and the confidence to assist in completing their law degree.
Phillipa Weeks Scholarship in Law
The Phillipa Weeks Scholarship for Rural and Regional Students supports students from regional and remote areas to pursue a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) at ANU. The Scholarship pays tribute to Phillipa Weeks (BA (Hons) '74, LLB (Hons) '79, LLM '87) who attended school in country NSW before she was awarded a scholarship to study law at ANU, going on to become Associate Dean and Head of School before passing away in 2006.
