Ever wondered about the impact internships have on law students at ANU, particularly for those committed to pursuing careers in social justice? At the social justice internships showcase presented by the ANU Law Reform and Social Justice research and policy group, ANU students will share their experiences, competencies and skills acquired through their internships to current students, alumni and members of the legal profession.

Our expert alumni panel from the College of Law and College of Science highlights an evening of discussion and networking focusing on 'Climate Change and Equity in Australia and the Asia Pacific'. There will be time for an audience Q&A after the discussion.

Presented by ANU Law Reform and Social Justice (LRSJ), this online discussion aims to help students explore and learn more about careers in social justice, law reform and advocacy. Bringing together alumni who currently work in a variety of roles in these fields, you'll be able to learn more about the organisations they work at and how they got there.

To celebrate Coming Out Day and in collaboration with the ANU LGBTIQA* Alumni Network, we invite you to join us for a panel discussion where we speak to members of the ANU College of Law LGBTIQA* community about their experiences as students to leading change where they work now.

Our panellists will talk about their motivations, struggles and successes, as well as discuss possible changes needed for future generations to have better opportunities.

The Law Reform and Social Justice Group is hosting Professor Susan Harris Rimmer (JSD '08), Director of the Griffith University Policy Innovation Hub as part of the Justice Careers Q&A series. 

Professor Harris Rimmer will talk about her journey through University, her career, passions and advocacies and will provide some insights to assist current students who want to pursue pathways into humanitarian sectors of the law.

At a time when social injustice and race relations are at the forefront of global movements, how can Australia move forward in a post-pandemic world? Join us as we look into the underlying issues of race relations and hear perspectives of the Asian-Australian experience from our alumni panel.
